HOITT Group, LLC is seeking investors, sponsors, advertisers and donations to facilitate the construction and management of an exciting and profitable ice center in St. George, UT. The proposed Zion Igloo Ice Center is a premier facility featuring 2 NHL-sized ice surfaces. Our goal is to provide the community with a state-of-the-art recreational ice facility with a safe and healthy environment for children, teens and adults.

St. George’s mountain desert topography, unbelievable climate offering over 330 days of annual sunshine, and close proximity to several state and national parks uniquely qualifies the city as a world-class destination for sports and outdoor recreation. According to the St. George Area Sports Commission, sporting events helped bring a record $78 million to the southwestern Utah economy in 2017. The Zion Igloo Ice Center aims to fill a void in the ice sport market as the only full-sized ice rink in a 120 mile radius of the city. The Zion Igloo Ice Center will be a robust economic driver to further the growth of Southern Utah through the promotion of ice skating, hockey, figure skating, curling and broomball for participants of all ages and skillsets.

A total of $12 million is needed to construct and open the Zion Igloo Ice Center. The proposed building would be approximately 78,000 square feet and located just east of Interstate 15 at Exit 2. The cost includes the design, engineering, acquisition of permits, construction, purchasing of startup equipment, and initial operations. Contributions in the form of an investment will result in an owners stake in the business with negotiable equity. We are also looking to procure funding through contractual naming rights of the center in addition to advertising commitments and philanthropic donations.
